How Audience work

The Audience is evaluated whenever a page loads and on every subsequent navigation within your website.

  • When a visitor matches the Audience conditions, the experiment applies the changes for their allocated variation.
  • At this point, tracking starts for that visitor: a visit (page view) is registered, and all subsequent page views and goal completions for this visitor are recorded.
  • If a visitor no longer meets the Audience conditions (for example, they navigate to a page outside the target scope), all changes applied by the visual editor are automatically reverted.

This ensures that variations are only shown to the intended visitors and only on the relevant parts of your website, keeping your experiment accurate and consistent.

info

Each visitor is counted only once per experiment, regardless of how many times they navigate or revisit the site. This ensures that experiment results reflect the behavior of unique visitors rather than repeated visits or interactions.
